Tripleshield Capacitive Sensors

Carlo Gavazzi's  capacitive sensors with our patented Tripleshield™   protection have become the standard all other manufacturers are measured against. All Tripleshield™ sensors are tested to withstand electrostatic discharges up to 40 KV, line transients up to 4 KV, and airborne noise (ie. cellular phones) up to 15 V/m. Furthermore, some models have built-in humidity compensation.

Capacitive sensors will detect most materials - conductive and non-conductive. This makes them ideal for level detection in raw plastic delivery systems and in agricultural applications. Our sensors are available in either a plastic or metal housing and with either a 2 metre cable or quick disconnect plug. Outputs include NPN or PNP transistor, SCR, or relay.

The newest product in our broad range of capacitive sensors is our new CA-CLC series which has sensitivity adjustment via our Teach-Mode programming - sensitivity adjustment is as simple as pushing a button. Our advanced humidity and temperature compensation makes our sensors ideal for level applications where moisture buildup is automatically compensated for.

Our range of Capacitive Sensors Comprises:

• CA18 Series : 18 mm cylindrical plastic bodied sensors with AC or DC outputs. They are available with a 2 metre cable or quick disconnect plug.
• CA30 Series : 30 mm cylindrical housing in metal or plastic. They are available with AC or DC outputs and either 2 metre cable or quick disconnect plug.  Some models feature advanced temperature stability and humidity compensation.
• CA-CLC Series : 18 mm or 30 mm cylindrical plastic housing. They feature automatic NPN/PNP selection. Sensing distance is set digitally via a teach-in function. The CA-CLC's advanced temperature stability and humidity compensation make it the ideal choice for level sensing applications.
